Polystyrene formwork can be used for housing, commercial buildings, retaining walls and many other applictions where a lightweight, energy efficient system is required for construction speed and efficiency plus long-term sound and thermal insulation.

Built-up on site from flat panels, it allows services to be chased into the permanent formwork after concrete has set.

Insulclad is a loadbearing insulated wall system engineered to AS3600 1994 for Concrete Structures.

Either 40, 50 or 75mm Insulclad System
R-value 40mm - 1.5, 50mm - 1.7 & 75mm 2.2

Advantages

  • The external location of the polystyrene insulation puts the insulation in the best place as far toward the outside of the building as possible where the temperature fluctuates. This reduces the amount of energy needed to maintain a constant temperature inside the home.
  • The Insulclad System incorporates its own penetration flashings to ensure all windows and doors are adequately sealed to stop water intrusion.
  • Insulclad is not a rigid system and the nails used to hold it in place can move slightly within the polystyrene allowing it to settle at the same rate as the building, therfore ensuring the system is extremely crack resistant.
  • Insulclad System is ABSAC appraised (appraisal No. 107 1989).
  • Polystyrene can be bent, rasped, curved and carved to create different forms and shapes.
